This week Fiat Yamaha rider and current leader of the 2009 MotoGP World Championship Jorge Lorenzo opened the new Fiat Open Lounge in Milan. Several days before his football club Barcelona take on Manchester United in the Italian capital for the 2009 Champions League, Lorenzo was in the fashion ‘capital’ of the country to help inaugurate the new space that will be used to host exclusive events and evenings.
Proudly appearing with his ‘99’ YZR-M1, the winner of the Japanese and French rounds of the series this season was also under the spotlight with victors of the umbrella girl competition Luisa Mearns, and Stefania Cicirello.

In an event spell for the Majorcan, Lorenzo also saw the launch of his book in English last Thursday ‘My Story So Far’ written by Spanish TV journalist Ernest Riveras and translated by renowned BBC reporter Matthew Roberts. The title had already enjoyed success in Spanish book shops and was received positive feedback for its honest views of how a 15 year old grew in the paddock and into the sport to become the personality he is today.
